Murray's Stinson 108
Hello to all that are reading this. My name is Murray and my wife is MariaAngelica . I started flying when I was 18 and I have been an official airplane and history nut most of my life.I owned a Cessna 150 for 15 years and flew into Oshkosh 2 times I have 650hrs pic vfr and night I am a licensed bodyman and class A mechanic and I have worked in both in the automotive and farm equipment/ heavy truck fields over the years. I have also worked as a service advisor and manager as well as parts. This experience will be helpful in this aircraft restoration. I have been a Stinson 108 fan since my early days of flying. I traveled to Oshkosh at least 20 different years and I always found myself drawn to the vintage aircraft red barn area. Many years back I set myself a goal of restoring stinson 108 and flying it to Oshkosh and having it judged. I have been collecting Stinson airframes and Franklin parts since 2003 I have enough to built at least 2 airplanes. But I will concentrate getting the first one airborne for now. Hope to see everyone in Oshkosh 2023 !
